Overview

Explore the mystery and majesty of Cappadocia in a fun-filled day trip from Istanbul. Taking an overnight bus, you arrive to explore the incredible Fairy Chimneys, open-air museum of Goreme and pottery making factories before returning to Istanbul.

What to Expect

You wake up from an overnight bus in a land of make-believe. As far as your eye can see, you glimpse mysterious "Fairy Chimneys"—iconic area rock formations—and mystical canyons. You've awakened in Cappadocia on a fun day trip from Istanbul.

Your journey begins with a night bus to Ürgüp. From here you will walk through the "Fairy Chimneys" in Devrent Valley before continuing your journey on to Paşabağ (Monks’) Valley. Here you will have a chance to watch the local masters throw beautiful pottery in the ancient technique. These make great gifts, and are of course for sale.

Then it's on to the heart of Cappadocia in Göreme. This open-air museum is like nothing you've ever seen before. The landscape is dotted with early churches and chapels that are carved right into the fairy chimneys, and still boast exquisite frescoes and preserved paintings. Explore the area for a while before we continue on to Uçhisar Castle, the highest point in the region.

After a fun day exploring the area, we'll transfer back to Istanbul by overnight bus.
